Zibadasht Project. Karaj, Iran 2022
The Zibadasht project, a villa located in Alborz province designed for a young couple.
The architectural team of this villa is the Cedros Group, with whom we have a history of friendship and cooperation and familiar with their design handwriting, and we believe that this type of collaboration between the architecture and interior design team creates harmony and output. Becoming more desirable in the projects. The interior design team entered the project at a time when the overall volume of the project, interior planning and communications were in shape, but the elements that could influence the overall interior design attitude were yet to be implemented. Like ceiling design, lighting, cabinets, wall cabinets and choice of materials, colors and finishers.
As usual, we dedicated sessions with employers to discuss and hear their demands and understand their lifestyle, work and concerns. Projects like this are thought of as second homes and require different needs from permanent living space. So with all the information we started the project design. With a contemporary approach and considering quality in details, during the design process we adhered to other points such as removing flaws while maintaining the beauty, harmony and warmth of the house. The challenge we faced in designing roofs was placing cooling and heating systems and interfering with the structure. As the placement of the devices does not reduce the height of the ceiling. In this way, we have come to a solution that in addition to not interfering with the structure, we can see the ventilation windows and lights in a row so that they are placed in the most concise state and without visual disturbance. After solving the ceiling challenge, we designed the cabinets, cabinets, doors, cornrows, etc. Next up, human relationships and applications in space were defined, and we moved on to colours, textures and materials. It was here that the feeling of the special audience of the space, the young couple, became more colorful for us. The young couple felt good in the space and it was part of the process to showcase our most important mission of interior architecture - which is not just form and volume - and to prioritize understanding the audience and their lifestyle. We knew our job.
In the next phase, we move on to choosing the furniture and matching them with the other materials used in the space. When arranging furniture and appliances, the lifestyle and the needs of the employer were prioritized. After the completion and delivery of the project, our most important achievement was the satisfaction of the young couple and the smile that sat on their lips. We have heard many times that everyone goes to a city, to a tradition or to a family and... Belonging and sometimes we designers forget that in interior architecture, the subject comes before any shape or color. An audience that are supposed to live in a space, not just residing there. An audience that should feel belonging and feel good. The main purpose of interior architecture is to improve the living experience of the audience.
