Project No. 10 – Three-Story Villa in Lavasan

The client approached our studio to develop the interior architecture design of a three-story villa located in the Lavasan area. Since the overall building mass and initial floor plan had already been determined, the design team’s focus from the outset was directed toward the technical and strategic aspects of the project.

The design process began with a thorough revision of the suspended ceiling system and the precise coordination of electrical and mechanical installations—an essential step that provided the foundation for achieving harmony between aesthetics and functionality. Once the infrastructural layers were consolidated, our team moved on to defining the color palette and selecting the project’s key materials, establishing the core language of the interior design.

A major design approach in this project was the attention to functional elements and execution details. Cabinets and closets, as the main storage components of the space, were designed beyond their purely practical role, contributing to the overall spatial quality. Similarly, wall surfaces, through variations in texture and material, became identity-giving elements that played a key role in the visual organization of the space.

In the main hall, with its 7-meter ceiling height, one of the principal challenges was to humanize the scale and create an emotional connection between the user and the space. To address this, a distinctive lighting object with striking dimensions and a unique design was positioned at the center of the hall—serving both as a focal point and as a means to reinforce the human dimension of the interior. In parallel, the main walls of the hall were articulated through color segmentation and material variation, a strategy that not only balanced the scale but also enriched the visual depth and spatial legibility of the environment.

The result is a space where functionality, aesthetics, and human experience coexist in equilibrium—each design decision, from the smallest detail to the most strategic concept, contributes to the overall coherence and quality of the project.
