Bam-e-Fereshteh Project. Tehran, Iran 2022
Baam Fereshteh project, an apartment of about 300 meters. A relaxing space designed for owners who are young couples. The main approach of the project was formed after several meetings and analysis of their lifestyle. Through case studies and reviews, we found that the project should be expanded with a contemporary approach and away from the disadvantages and crowds of details. This project was delivered to our studio when the Chinese blades were completed, but after inspecting the location to optimize the space we made changes to the plan which resulted in better use and better relations to the space.
In the course of the project design, maximizing space and eliminating waste was placed on the agenda and overall design of space and architectural fixed elements, ceilings, floors, warehouses, kitchen space, sanitary facilities etc. Besides paying volumes for the overall layout of the space, the design team began color staining and the original color of the environment was white, adding neutral colors such as gray and beige. However, the color palette was not enough for the space, and black could create the right contrast in the space that was used in different parts.
Considering these parameters, the material was developed and we continued with the arrangement, furniture selection and decoration details. In design and plans related to furniture, having a warm and intimate space (considering Iranian culture and family gatherings), It was meant to be considered. Due to the placement of the hall, dining room, TV room and kitchen in one place, the furniture was organized in a way that, while maintaining the integrity of the environment, each particular space is properly dismantled and defined in accordance with its use, and at the same time, not to become small and separate parts. Besides that, we avoided the rush of details that might be annoying, creating a sense of homeliness alongside simplicity. The principal shaped this project.
